When I run people on the street are so supportive its ridiculous. A guy driving by gave me a thumbs up and people that I pass smile and nod. It’s great. Philadelphia is a great city and anyone who says anything different doesn’t know shit.
I made a running playlist last night with Sleigh Bells, Dead Kennedys, Horse the Band, along with many others. I ran three and a half blocks straight! I’m blaming the music for my awesomeness. I’m down one minute= first 12minute mile since high school. I’m stoked about it. Towards the end my feet still cramp, but I’m thinking that’s something I’ll have to learn to deal with.
And I’m fine with that. My time isn’t improving yet but every time I run I can feel the progress in my endurance. The first couple of times I would just come home afterward and be too burnt out to do anything, but today I lifted weights for 15 minutes. I feel awesome.
